My girlfriend wants to get herself a 2002 Volkswagen beetle with 140,000 miles. Owner claims everything works fine and is asking for $1200. Anything we should look out for? Any tips?
I'd pass unless it drives shifts fine and you get it for 500 bucks max, then you could drive it a while and then junk it when something goes wrong. I'd look into a Toyota/Scion/Honda if I were you though.
I would not buy that car. Those had awful automatic transmissions and the engines weren't much better. If she wants a compact little car, look at a Honda Civic coupe.
Anything to look out for? Yes, everything! Those cars were biodegradable.
Sure, I'd lookout for the TOW TRUCK. Stay away from that car. Really $1200.00? Naw.
If you do decide to buy it, here is a sticker you can put on your licence plate (who needs licence plates anyways)
