Hello Scotty,

We miss you here in Houston.  I spent over 15 years in the automotive industry in Detroit working for OEMs and suppliers.  I spent half of those years watching (from the inside) VW/Audi build some of the worst vehicles for reliability I have ever seen.  They were fun to drive, and I had a blast anyway leasing a new vehicle every 3-4 months, and driving test cars often.  I also did some time at Chrysler.  Yep, I sure picked two of the worst manufacturers.  lol  I have followed the automotive industry my entire life, and am glad to be out of the corporate mess, but I learned a lot and enjoy helping people.  I have helped my friends, neighbors, and family choose the right vehicles for them, and have given them advice on how to save money and headaches buying and maintaining them as well.  Most bought smart, but some decided they wanted fun over function.  You can lead a horse to water....  Still, I get a sense of accomplishment knowing I have helped someone, much like you.  Thank you for the opportunity to be considered a part of your team as a Moderator.  Have fun in Clarksville!

Thanks again,

Mark

P.S.  I inherited my wife's Suzuki Grand Vitara, which was a headache, but I have now gotten on track.  The engine ticks some (could be injectors or chain tensioner, not sure) but runs like a top, and has turned out to be a decent beater.  It was built in Japan, so I have that going for me.
