I am looking to buy a new car soon and I am heavily considering the Nissan Frontier. I know they were just redesigned last year, and was just wondering if they seem promising and are a good purchase? Thank you!

There’s too new to gather any long term data about reliability. But time will tell.

No - they're having transmission issues. just like the new Titan.
"Rear end or transmission has started to howl when deceleration occurs" (NHTSA ID number 11475484),
"the transmission shifted out of gear, the check engine light illuminated, and "automatic transmission fault" appeared on the center display" (NHTSA 11473373),
"Transmission failed catastrophically after 1300 miles of use" (NHTSA 11467606)
"the vehicle experienced a hard downshift. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that upon driving from a complete stop in inclement weather, the rear tires were slipping." (NHTSA 11490981)
