Hello All,
Recently I noticed I have a small leak coming from my power steering pump from the bottom of the car (small drip). I am going to replace the old fluid with new power steering fluid and add some of the reseal to see if it fixes it. Has anyone had any luck using this to fix power steering leaks?
Thanks
Jesse
You should identify the source of the leak. That's a 20-year-old vehicle, if the leak is from a deteriorated hose attached to the pump the AT-205 will certainly not help. If it's the seal on the pump shaft AT-205 might help for a little while but it's a temporary band-aid at best. Replacement or repair of the pump is the only sure fix.
Yeah it’s not the hoses it’s around the pump like at the front bottom it seams to be the seal just wanted to make sure no one put this in there power steering and caused damage

There is always going to be a risk introducing a product like that into your power steering system, though I have not seen any reports of it damaging anything and I know Scotty has mentioned using it. If you do try AT-205 be sure to reduce the dosage appropriately, don't dump the entire bottle into your power steering. This video from the manufacturer provides some guidelines:

If the truck is otherwise in good condition and you plan to keep it a long time it really would be best to replace the leaking pump.
