AT205 in Honda transmissions

  • Hello,

I have a 2006 Honda CRV and a 2004 Acura TSX.

They both have slight transmission leaks at the drive shaft seal.

I would prefer to fix them correctly, but the Honda CRV in particular is quite rusty. If I start to take it apart, I will likely have to change other parts like the wheel bearing and the driveshaft.

I know Hondas are finicky when it comes to fluids such as transmission fluid, power steering fluid, differential fluid, etc.

Is AT 205 some thing I should try?

The last thing I wanna do is ruin the transmission as they are shifting quite well with no problems.

thank you,

Keep up the videos! They are extremely helpful.

no I wouldn't put additives in the transmission. Either live with a slight leak, or change the seals out properly. If your bearings or CV joints are bad then you should definitely change them too.
