Audi Q5 3.2L Cold Air check engine

2010 Q5. 3.2L 56k miles

replaced the air pump. CE Light back on. Dealer says the block ports need to be blown out which requires a disassembly of the front grill to get to freeze plugs to access the cold air lines. Any better way? Cost, Quoted $1700 or more. 
thoughts? Options? Help!

Well I would not have purchased an Audi in the 1st place, people do not have the equipment to fix and program it. If it runs ok Leave it

Can I make the CE light go away if I just leave it? It does have a new pump.
