Scotty, was the Australian-built Chevrolet Caprice PPV from the 2010-2017 period a particularly reliable car?

Depends if its the V8 or V6, as I believe GM Holden made them with both the V6 motors (LLT & LFX) and later the V8 motors (6.0L L77 & 6.2L LS3). If it's the V6, avoid earlier than 2012 so you get the LFX engine which is a more reliable version of the LLT which doesn't get stretched timing chain issues. If it's the V8 model, I think the motors are good but you may have to eventually replace valve springs and/or lifters on the LS; super high km (250k+) L77s have some minor issues but nothing major. Other than that the car/platform itself is very good albeit heavy (1.7/1.8t), on that note, aim for 2013 or newer so you get the VF/Chevy SS-like interior otherwise you'll be looking at the slightly worse Pontiac G8 interior. Hope that helps.
