Hi Scotty

I accidentally put about a bit less than a quart of tran. Differential fluid in my Nissan Altima 2005 who's fluid has never been replaced. I just add if it drops which isn't that often and both the bottles look the same.

I was hoping to keep chugging along instead of having it rebuilt or a new transmission...please help thanks

Thanks

Jatinderjit

Do you mean you put some differential fluid in the transmission?

If you put the wrong fluid in either the transmission or the differential, you should drain what's in there and replace it with the correct fluid. If you don't maintain them, the trans and differential will require expensive repairs, especially as this is a known trouble spot for Nissans.
