I have a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0T, and it is equipped with Autostop, so every time you stop at a red light or stop sign, the engine turns off, and when you press the gas, it starts back up and runs.
The vehicle does not have the button to press with the A to turn off the feature.
There are a few companies that make plug in devices that disable the feature for you such as Range Technology and AutoStop Eliminator.
How safe are these devices to use? Also, how do these devices affect warranties? They say that they are untraceable—is this true?
This topic came up last year without any definitive answer.

No one can really tell, but I would not risk it, first because it likely voids your warranty and also you don't want to mess with electronics especially in a GM car.
Mine is the 9 speed instead of the standard 6 speed. I’ve tried putting it into manual up to both 6 and 9, and it doesn’t disable the Autostop like it does in the 6 speed.
If this is the case, you should choose between trusting some aftermarket device (which will void your warranty) or leave the car alone till your warranty ends.
