Have Toyota corolla ae110with a240l transmission,enganged in drive or reverse,engages but slips and move slowly at high revs,have checked clutch s,band and changed oil but still sloping ,what could be the problem
Well obviously the transmission is going out and rebuilding those things requires an extreme expert. Most of the guys I know who would work on those things are long retired and the young kids don't know what the heck they're doing to work at those transmission shops. For my experience cost wise a lot of times you're better off just opt in for a low mileage wrecked transmission from a salvage yard rather than attempting to repair that complex thing especially if it has high mileage because then when they wear out the parts to fix them cost so much money
