Scotty, I have bought a 1995 Ford F-150 King cab, 2 wd, 5.8L 351-W V-8 Automatic, and I want to rebuild it, Motor and tranny, and use it for traveling and camping when I retire?

Sure, rebuild the engine if you've got the time, tool and skills (or time to learn the skills) but I don't think I've ever met anybody who rebuilt their own auto trans, that's a tall order.

I appreciate the Info!

Can you do it yourself or you know someone who does the job perfectly?

I've got someone!

Sure, they were much better made back then and they were also simpler to rebuild.

Thanks!

Man, I miss my 351 Windsor those motors are great. If it’s worth it to you for a rebuild I’d do it. In my opinion that was the golden years for Ford trucks. Minus the duel fuel tanks.

I appreciate the info.

Great truck and engine.  I would get a crate motor and a Monster transmission.  Compare that to spending $50k for a new truck and yours will still be better.  And you'll save about $35k.

I appreciate the Info.
