Toyota RAV4 2010 base 154,000
The battery warning light will be on when my daughter starts the car then she shuts it off and starts the car once or twice then it does not come back on. The battery tester says the battery and alternator and a starter. All good. The serpentine belt is good all but the starter are new. Any thoughts?
What is the electrical system voltage when the battery light is on?
Might be an intermittent fault in the alternator but I would check easy stuff first like battery cables and clamps. Clean/tighten them and see if the problem persists.
Unfortunately I’m never in the car when it happens but I will do what you suggest.
something might be draining the battery when the car is sitting.
Does she have any gizmos she leaves plugged in? phone chargers, dashcams, etc?
