I have a 2006 Toyota Solara SLE Convertible and isn't my daily driver with 120K miles I love driving this car and mainly drive it in the summer weekends. couple years didn't drive it a whole lot Some point in the last year it has developed a parasitic Drain on the battery. if not I do not drive it will need a jump in a week and 2 weeks totally dead battery. I took to a automotive shop and they went through it and couldn't find any draw on the electrical system. So when I am not driving it I keep it connected to a dewalt trickle battery maintainer . Is this hard on the battery ? wil it harm my car ? it has the 3.3 6 cyl .. By the way my daily driver is a 2005 toyata Matrix 4 wheel drive only had 90 K on it . Love my Toyotas and thank you for all your info on youtube Eric Snyder Seattle WA
No, it doesn't damage anything. If you get a good one that works correctly. Don't buy one of those $19 cheap Chinese piles of garbage. You buy a decent one. They work perfectly fine. Just realize if your battery keeps draining though there is a problem, there's no saying that the problem might get worse on its own if it's not fixed
