Battery Drain

Rev up your engines! Long time listener/follower, Scotty!

Question for you; 2009 Toyota Rav4, runs great, been an excellent car. 290k killmeters / 180k miles. I expect another 290k out of it. There’s only 1 problem; the battery seems to get drained. It’s happened 3 times over the last year, each time when there was rain. So I take the battery into Part Source/Autozobe to recharge every time. I feel there’s likely a short (humidity/ water might be affecting the wiring - is my guess). The guys at the Toyota dealership can’t figure it out.

Is there any way to figure this out? Either a tool and/or method to remedy this situation? It’s too good of a car to throw away.

Thanks Scotty and keep up the great work!

Joey
