Battery Management System

Hello

I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra with the 2.0 L Nu MPi engine (number G4NH) and a 6-speed automatic with 44,000 miles.

I have 2 questions. First, I need to know if it the car has an “Electronic Battery Sensor” (see image https://imgbox.com/hvSL3D96 ). Can someone tell me if the photo is of an “Electronic Battery Sensor” ?

My next question is, how do I determine if the car has an "Battery Management System"? The reason I'm asking is I'm about to replace the OE "AGM Battery" with a new AGM Battery and if I understand correctly, the "BMS" has to be reset after a new battery has been installed so the computer knows a new battery has been installed and will prevent the alternator from overcharging the new battery.

If it does need to have the BMS reset, does anyone know what is the least expensive scan tool that will do that?

Thank you for your help.

Have you checked the owner's manual?

A reputable battery dealer may already be set up to do that for you. Try asking them.
