Does my 2018 Ford Edge SEL 3.5V6 need to have the battery management system "reset" when the OEM battery gets replaced? The battery is still in very good operating condition but when it starts to go, I want to know if I need to have the battery replaced by a qualified auto mechanic or if it can be changed by me using just a "memory saver".

I don’t know the specifics for your vehicle.
With that said, if it is an AGM battery, and your car has some sort of battery management system, there is a higher likelihood that the battery would need to be “registered” or “reset” to maximize the life of your new battery.
Some code readers can do the reset/registration depending on your make model.
