I have a 5+ year old battery. I purchased a battery tester and am still learning. Here’s the data. What’s it telling me about my battery? Still good, starting to decline, etc…?

Battery Test

Health: 79% 585 CCA

Charge: 36% 12.16 V

Internal R = 5.08 mΩ

Rated: 660 CCA

Cranking Test

1612 ms

Cranking Low

8.54 V

Charging Test

Loaded 14.71 V

Unloaded 14.78 V

Ripple 244 mV

Thanks.

It's telling you that battery needs to be replaced and to check your charging system as well.

Declining.

Thanks.
When you’re looking at that data, what stands out to you telling you it’s time to replace it before it dies and leaves you stranded?

Charge - 36% 12.16v

Cranking Low - 8.54v

Remember, the first couple of cold Fall weather mornings always seem to send otherwise good batteries into the marginal zone, with the inadequate zone not far ahead.

Get a new battery. Sounds like the alternator is working OK though.
