Hey Scotty,
If you were to build a custom mid sized sedan from scratch, what pre-existing engine/transmission combo would you use? Any year, any manufacturer, what's the best?

GMPP LSX454 crate motor matched w/Hydromatic 4L80E built transmission. Requires slight fabrication to make it work, but I've done it and....it flies.

For my midsized sedan I would go:
- engine: GM LS3 crate engine (6.2L naturally aspirated V8 making 430 hp/425 lb-ft torque, thankfully comes with port injection only, and no cylinder deactivation or variable valve timing)
- transmission: Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual

This is a fantasy scenario, as I don’t think these match up.
Engine: Toyota 2JZ inline 6.
Transmission: Aisin BG6.
I don’t think this works in reality because the engine is longitudinal and the transmission is transverse. 🤣
