I have saved up to $3000 and am ready to buy my first car. What car should I go for that is in that range price and can be dependable for at least 4-5years?
For future reference please don't "hijack" someone else's topic to ask your question, create your own topic instead. Thank you. (Topic split.)
You'll be hard pressed to find anything for $3000 that is in decent condition. Expecting such a vehicle to be dependable for 4 or 5 years is very optimistic, bordering on wishful thinking. It will help if you are able to do your own repairs and maintenance.
If you're lucky you might be able to find an old Corolla or Civic for that much. Avoid models with known inherent problems and be sure to have any used car checked out by a good mechanic before you buy it.

This is a video by Scotty on Civic and Corolla years to buy/avoid. In that budget it'll be very hard to find something decent unless it's older model year and has higher mileage.
One option to increase your chances in finding something decent in that range is if a neighbor or someone you know is selling one OR if you have a trusted independent mechanic maybe he can let you know if he comes across one.
