Hello everyone, I am currently car shopping for a good, reliable used car that is somewhat fun to drive for under $15k and less than 100k miles. Any suggestions?
Scion FRS (also known as Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86) nice, fun car to drive and pretty common.
You could get a used grandpa Crown Vic/Grand Marquis. It will have low mileage on the cheaper side, extremely durable and reliable and can take some abuse. It has also probably never been abused if owned by grandparents before. It can be a fun car to drive because it is a V8 4 door sedan and has a live rear axle. Of course you could also go for Civic SIs and Accords with V6s, just make sure the Honda's are manuals.

If you want something sporty but reliable I would get a Nissan 350z with a manual transmission since you have quite a bit of money to spend, make sure to buy one stock!
I would recommend the Buick Park Avenue for a reliable practical and also fun good gas mileage Specifically a 1996 model base model produces 205 hp without the supercharger but if you get the ultra model it comes with the supercharger producing 240 hp I think it’s a pretty good sleeper both cars have the legendary bullet proof 3.8 L series 2 V6 you can’t go wrong with any Park Avenue from any year they’re all pretty much reliable especially the engine the 3.8 series 1 or series 2 the best part is you can still pick these cars up for 3500$ or less for a decent one I paid 3500$ for mine it had 68,000 miles on it when I bought it the reason for that is there typically owned by the elderly who take great care of their cars so finding one at a great price with low miles good cosmetic condition interior and exterior as well as mechanical is easy to come by now the ultras are a little bit harder to find but not impossible you might pay a little more for an ultra if it’s in good shape but depending which route you go with those cars you can’t go wrong with a park avenue from 91 to 99 also the 96 model has OBD 2 which makes reading codes a lot easier if they need to be read and you can put all your friends in it if you’re 6 foot 2 that’s no problem you still get good headroom and legroom I have a friend that sticks to and he fits perfect they have soft pillow because she said the ride is great like riding on a cloud big trunk very practical every day car for school or work I highly recommend a park avenue as a first car also that 3.8 L series 2 V6 is a timing chain driven engine One of the reasons why they can get up to the 300,000 mile range as long as you do your regular maintenance as for any car regular maintenance is a must also another thing about the Park Avenue they’re easy to fix if they ever do break even if your mechanically inclined they’re very simple parts are easy to get not that expensive and everyone knows how to work on so park avenue would be there in a good first car list
