Generally speaking, even in the UK, I still recommend looking into a Toyota or Honda. I’m not too familiar with the lineup, as they have a different selection in the UK than the US. The US tends to have bigger cars, and the UK tends to have smaller cars.
Some Toyota’s may indeed be rebranded Suzuki or Daihatsu or Mazda. Honda is usually Honda.

Most of the cabs I took were Toyota Prius and a Toyota Prius+ (known as the Toyota Prius V here). Heck, they keep selling the Toyota Prius+ in the UK even when the Toyota Prius V was discontinued in the US.
