2012 Ram 1500 - Stalling on stop

Hello Scotty and other forum members. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this issue. All the shops I've been to say it could be a multitude of things and they can't actually find what's wrong so they would only be guessing.

It's a 2012 Ram 1500 Outdoorsman  with about 230,000km on it. When I am stopping the rpm drops down to about ~4-500 and seems to randomly decide it wants to drop below that and then stall. It will immediately restart. But will do it again sometimes on the next stop, but not everytime. I would love if someone could have a good idea on a fix for this issue as it seems to be a phantom problem that wont throw a code and no one can seem to figure it out. Thanks!

A multitude of things can cause that problem. The low-hanging fruit would include filters, spark plugs, cleaning throttle body and MAF sensor, and checking for vacuum leaks.

Are you actively pressing on the brakes when it stalls? If you are, you could have a vacuum leak at the brake booster. Idle with the brake off it's fine, and you step on the brakes, the engine struggles is a classic sign you have a vacuum leak at the booster. If the booster itself is the one that came with the vehicle brand new, 230k km is probably about at the end of its service life. It's 11 years old at this point and Dodge isn't known for making a good quality vehicle.
