Dear people,
My 2015 Ford Fiësta TDCi 1.5 with 325.000km shakes when idle or low rpm. I know diesels are not as smooth as gasoline cars but I own this car since 50.000kms and this is different from before.
Symptoms:
- Shaky feeling when idle. I feel it through the chair and just the entire car
- I tested it with a bottle of water on the floor and the water is moving a lot
- Idle rpms seem stable
- Shaking goes away with higher rpms, either driving or putting the foot on the gas in neutral
Well start with the simple things like see if motor mounts or transmission mounts are broken which will make a shake. And pray it's that and not something like the automatic transmission and torque converter is starting to go out or that there is an internal engine problem that causes idling to be poor or something like worn out fuel injectors that are super expensive
Thank you for the insights. I forgot to tell that it is a manual transmission. When on idle the rpm meter on the dash does not move. So idle rpm is steady
