My 2017 Lincoln MKZ developed a horrendous shake which starts at 40mph. Feels primarily from the front end. Shake decreases as speed increases past 40 but it remains stagnant. I would appreciate any help possible to avoid parts-swapping and playing the guessing game

Check front suspension and steering components for worn, damaged, or loose parts. Check wheel bearings for looseness. Rotate tires from front to back to see if the problem travels with the tires.
