So I am buying this used car on facebook marketplace for around 750$ next week but im having second thoughts the car looks really good overall nothing too damaged apart form the hood having a decent amount of sun damage and rearview mirror needing to be installed which the owner has bought but has not not installed it.

The car has around 200,000 miles on it and the thing wrong with it is the ECU the person said it would have trouble starting in the description but when I asked them about it they said it did not start now I dont know a lot about cars but I looked up what the ecu is and It sounds pretty expensive to fix.

how should I go about this?

The only benefit that car might have is using it for parts; the parts are worth much more than the car itself.

Do you have money to burn? You will find that there is little in life that turns out to be more expensive than a cheap European luxury car.

You haven't even told us what year the thing is, but that's probably not even relevant. No one is going to sell a BMW that's in good condition for only $750, and those things tend to become endless money pits as they age under the best of circumstances.

There is approximately a 99.9999999% chance that you're going to wind up with a $750 lawn ornament if you buy that stupid thing.
