Best fuel system/fuel injector cleaners to use

Topic starter

I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado with over 103,000 miles on it. I currently have a P219A code and am wondering if adding fuel system cleaner/fuel injector cleaner in it will help clean things out and improve my gas mileage which has taken a bit of dip. Are these additives worth using and if so, what type and brand is recommended?

Scotty primarily recommends ATS 505 fuel system cleaner, and also PEA-based cleaners such as Techron.

Bear in mind that many things affect gas mileage and fuel system cleaner will not necessarily help.

Hey man, I’m having pretty much the same problem. I already had the injectors cleaned, replaced the ignition wires and spark plugs, and they also checked the coils with live data and everything seems to be working fine. You know what I did? I removed the upstream oxygen sensor and cleaned it, and after that the code stayed away for about 3 days, but today it came back again. I’m starting to think that oxygen sensor might be bad, but I read another post where someone replaced it with a new one and the problem still came back, so now I really don’t know what else to do. I’ve already spent money on injector cleaning, wires, spark plugs, coil testing, and they also cleaned the MAF sensor. Did you ever find the solution to your problem? Do you have any idea what else I should check before I keep buying unnecessary parts, man?

@jammes0214 You already posted this same thing in response to another old topic. Please take a moment to review the forum rules. Posting multiple times about the same problem is not permitted.
