We’ve got a 2012 Nissan Armada w/93,000 miles. Looking to replace it. With new Nissan Armada or new Ford Expedition. Which is better because a new Toyota Sequoia is too expensive. I know GM is out of the question. Or would used Sequoia be better? Wife wants brand new and doesn’t like Sequoia’s look. Thanks.

Clarification: How many years and miles do you need the SUV to last you?
9-10 years would be ideal. Armada still working fine. Only major issue is air conditioning. I’ve had expensive repairs on it that warranties covered. But it’s out of warranty and is not cooling extremely well again. Aside from that it runs fine.
Would she be up for a used Lexus LX570? It’s a full-size SUV (body on frame) and based on the legendary, true and tried Toyota Land Cruiser platform.
The Ford Expedition will look fantastic broken down on the side of the road.
Get a used Land Cruiser.
To answer your question IF I had to choose between the 2 I’d pick the expedition. The 2nd gen 3.5 Ecoboosts are much better made than the 1st gen motors. Realize that Ford is all about trucks first and foremost. So the SUV game is kind of a side hustle for them. I will say from what I’ve seen the expedition seems to be way better made than the explorer. Personally I wouldn’t buy either as the American SUV market is weak. First choice for me would be a new Honda Pilot or a Toyota Highlander. And avoid Nissan altogether, it won’t be long until they will be pulling out of the US.
