Best luxury cars?

Which years, makes, and models are the best luxury cars?

Clarification: Best in terms of what?  What are you looking to get out of your next car?

In what budget?

4 door luxury sedan, with low maintainance cost/s, and low gas consumption (high MPG)

4 door luxury sedan, with low maintenance cost/s, and low gas consumption (high MPG)

Do you care about reliability? (If yes - how long do you want it to last and how many miles would you like to get out of it?) What about comfort, driving dynamics?

Kerem, I don't have a set budget, but I need something that was made between 2008, and 2019.

The ES would be more luxurious than the IS. The IS is also somewhat small and more "sporty" so if you are looking for something that could comfortably carry a family and be luxurious you are looking at either ES/GS. LS has high maintenance costs.

Are you asking which is more luxury, the ES or IS? Because the ES would be more luxury, while the IS would be more sporty.

If you REALLY want luxury, go to the LS series. But your question is very vague.

I'm sorry, if my question was vague. I have never owned a Lexus, or any other luxury sedan, so I just wanted help deciding. Thanks!

A new one is a big investment. The wrong used one will be a huge money pit, and a constant source of sorrow. You should do diligent research (I'd recommend carcomplaints.com, as a place to find out what goes wrong). If you look at the pages in this Forum, particularly the comments on various luxury brands that have systemic, multi-year problems (Infiniti, Genesis, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover) and compare them to the comments on Lexus and Acura, in particular, well, that in-and-of-itself should be revealing, particularly if you intend on keeping a vehicle for a longer-term, or don't want to get soaked on high-levels of depreciation, if and when you trade or sell.

I care very much about:

  • reliability,
  • cost of ownership/maintenance,
  • resale value
  • comfort,
  • safety,
  • low gas consumption (high MPG),
  • between model years 2008-2019, and
  • insurance costs.

It should be (the cheapest and best / best value for money) 4 door luxury sedan.

I don't care very much about how fast it can go ........ I more interested in how long it lasts.

I'm looking for something that is cheap / not expensive.

I want it to last forever, or at least 300,000 miles.

Digital Features and Toys could be an added bonus, but not at all a deal breaker.

I plan to use it for my side gig / 2nd job - Uber and Lyft.

Lexus ES (FWD) is your best bet then.

Is it highly recommended (needed?) to get a pre-purchase inspection done from a mechanic, or is it OK to buy a Lexus ES (FWD), without getting it done?

Daywalker is right? Best in terms of the following:

1. Short-term and long-term reliability

2. Resale Value

3. Comfort

4. Fun to drive

5. Safety

6. Digital Features and Toys

7. Insurance coverage/cost

8. Overall cost of ownership

And we are talking about new, newish or older luxury vehicles? No one can give you any kind of advice until you've thought through these kinds of questions.

Original poster wants a 4 door Lexus luxury sedan, with low maintainance cost/s, and good gas mileage between model years 2008-2019.
