Best midsize sedan in Europe?

Hello Scotty and co,

I recently watched a few videos about the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord and how they are the best midsize sedans in North America. However, the Accord isn't sold in Europe and the Camry is on its way out. What is the best midsize sedan in Europe in terms of reliability?

How are the Civic and Corolla there? Although these are classified as compacts, there sizes have gone up over the years, so they may be borderline mid-sized.

TMK, mid size and full size sedans aren’t as popular in Europe, so that may be why Honda and Toyota don’t offer them.

The Civic and the Corolla are still classified as compacts, though despite their reliability, they are nowhere near as popular in Europe compared to America.

While I recognize that mid size sedans aren't popular in Europe, my question was which one of those available are the best in terms of reliability.

New sedans are rare in Europe. If you see one, it's probably a Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Skoda. Most likely a Taxi.

Yeah, but what's the best one reliability wise?

I don't realy know, but the MB E220 Diesels seem to last.

I assume you are buying a brand new car (used Accords are still avaliable). You did not inform us how long do you plan have it. No one knows on the long run. You can try with a Hybrid Camry, since only these are available here but the generations of Toyotas are relatively fresh. So is Škoda Octavia. For Škoda Superb, I would pick one of with a 2.0 TDI engine.

If used cars don't bother you, check out posts of @dan.

This question was more aimed in general terms as while the track record of many sedans is known here in America, I do not know what it's like in Europe. I heard a lot of great things about the Superb and a lot of bad things about German luxuries, but that's as far as I know in regards to mid-size sedans in Europe.
