i I am looking for normal maintenance parts like spark plugs, air filters, trans filters, oil filters,
where can I buy these things at without getting ripped off at the dealership while ensuring the parts are genuine?
rockauto.com
you don't need OEM spark plugs, air filters, trans filters, and oil filters
any reputable brand will do
In fact it wouldn't surprise me if aftermarket was better than Korean stuff
Okay. And I haven’t seen Scotty recommend brands.
I bought a wix air filter.
It’s just in one video he talked about oem are designed more precise since the car manufacturer made it.
But I will heed your advice thanks!
Scotty was talking about sensors not filters

Scotty was probably referring to sensors. You can use quality aftermarket parts for consumables such as spark plugs and filters, but stick with OEM parts for sensors.
Okay. I just for clarification he certainly did say that air filters oem are what to use. I bought a wix. Project fsrm tested them and there are differences. Oem are expensive at my dealership and didn’t know whether to stick with wix or actually get oem or
Wix makes good stuff 👍 And I suspect that NAPA is rebranded Wix but costs less.
NAPA Gold filters used to be rebranded Wix but I'm not certain if that's the case any more.
You can always buy OEM parts from online Hyundai dealer such as:
https://www.hyundaioempartsdirect.com/
https://hyundai.oempartsonline.com/
I also found out that local dealers in more expensive areas charge a lot more for parts and service. Call around.
