My mom with dementia totaled my great condition 2004 Lexus Rx330. I need a new suv. I'm looking at a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude with 73k miles that I love the look of. Would this be a good choice or is there something else much better I should be looking at?
2020 was one of the better years for the GC. And if it has the 5.7 hemi, the engine should be solid. But overall it’s not the greatest for reliability. Take a look in the search bar for more details.
I would try to get a Toyota Highlander

Well for what I would consider to be the same type and size as the GC, I would recommend a 4Runner. Crazy reliability and resale value.
Similar size, yes. And certainly the most reliable option in the conversation. But it’s really a different species; compared to an RX or GC, you’d be giving up a lot of handling and ride comfort.
@dad2lm2 that is very true, 4Runner never claimed to be all that comfortable.
