My 1994 Chevy Silverado has 186,056 miles and has a big knock when shifting into reverse. Any ideas on what it could be?

Could be transmission is starting to give you a warning that it might be on its way. Have you kept up with maintenance? You could take it to a transmission shop, let them know what’s going on and see what they say.

Check your rear drive shaft u joints for excessive wear. Have they ever been lubed?
