Hi Scotty,
One year ago, a small LCD screen on my 2007 Yaris flickered rapidly for about an hour, which made the screen unreadable. This screen displays the fuel gauge, odometer, and a clock so it's quite an important display. After restarting the engine, the screen started working again and then worked fine for a whole year until it suddenly went completely blank a couple of days ago. This time around restarting the engine didn't solve the problem. Instead I rebooted the screen by disconnecting and then reconnecting the negative car battery terminal, and now it works again. I am however worried that it'll go blank again. Any idea about what the cause could be?
Thanks,
Fred
Realize that Toyota Yaris is in fact a Mazda and they're back in the day they had rather weak electronics odds are your screen is just breaking down nobody fixes them
