BLown differential on Ram 1500

Good Morning Scotty!!!!!  I'm praying you can help me or offer your advice.  I have a 2014 Ram 1500, with the 5.7 HEMI with 117,000 miles.  I heard this LOUD hammering noise, almost like a jackhammer in the front left side.  It was snowing so I had the 4WD auto on.  Crawled underneath and found the left axle shaft loose and was advised that the front differential blew.  Please please help me.  Is it worth fixing?  I can get parts used for about $800.  I owe about $11,000 left on the truck.  Should I fix it or trade it in?  I love my truck and have had no other issues.  Thank you so much for your time!  Hope to hear from you!

I wouldn't pay $800 for used parts.  I think you should be able to get it fixed properly for around $1200.

Thank you for the response. Turned out it was NOT the differential, thank goodness. I had to replace the cv axle half shaft as it had come away from the stub shaft and wore out the teeth. The stub shaft was also replaced. Funny though that the cv axle was replaced under warranty not even 11 months earlier by the dealer. They of course won't help with anything because I went someplace else and had an aftermarket part put on
