Scotty i got a 2007 Chevy avalanche and it is vibrating at idle i took it to a shop just for a oil change and they siad my stick is blown they said when they took it for a test drive it was vibrating at a red. my uncle who is a independent manic like you said he dosent know what the problem can be it could be the torque converter it is so manny possibilities.

Being oil change guys they may be referring to the dipstick being pushed out.
Try changing the PCV valve, make sure the hose isn't collapsed

it means nothing. What kind of shop says that to a customer?
A dishonest shop.

thats weird is the PCV valve, hose set the engine light on? for a couple days? then off the next?
