I am looking at a 1992 BMW 735i on craigslist with a 3.5l I6 its an auto with a "new" water pump, center/drag link and it supposedly has new tires.
Its got 223,000 miles, as well as being in rough cosmetic shape, no rust and they're asking 2200. What are your thoughts?

It belongs in the junkyard by now, if you buy that you'll end up spending 10x what you paid fixing it.
Stay away from German cars unless you have a buddy who works at a dealership, but even then this car is a no go.

It's worth what they paid for the tires and water pump.

Definitely not worth it. Pass on it. Let someone else be the sucker and buy that.
