Any body shop recommendations in Houston Texas? Looking for someone who does repairs quick and knows how to repair bumpers and doesn’t cheat customers.

Any advice on how to get the best bang for my buck

self drilling screws. that's how I repair bodywork. Also plumber's strap and cable ties.

My 2013 Honda civic sedan and my moms F150 had a collision. Well let’s just say I made a sharp turn in my moms yard and my front bumper got caught on the F150s trailer hitch. My whole bumper fell off and now I have plastic under the car waving in the wind and the side screw hole was broke and ripped to reattach it to the car so the screw can’t even be put back in. Could an independent mechanic get me a better deal than a body shop? Basically just wanting a functional bumper to cover things up not even looking for a paint job 😂 My old bumper is still okay minus the bottom piece under the car that fell off and the broken screw hole. Any advice on how to get the best bang for my buck when I’m paying out of pocket for this? Maco quoted me for 900 to 1200. Ps. My moms car didn’t even get a scratch and no I don’t want to involve my insurance.

I’ve used zip ties to secure my bumper. It’s silly but it works.

If you need an actual “new” bumper for cheap, check your local junk yard. Some of them are in decent condition.

Also, check Amazon for an unpainted bumper. If you don’t care about the color, they usually have some for relatively cheap for mass produced cars.
