Hey everybody, last conversation was really helpful in steering me towards a new work truck purchase: 2009 Chevy Express 2500 with 145k miles.
I bought it and there was maybe 1/8th of a tank left. I drove it straight to Costco and filled it up! I made a long trip and thought, "wow this truck's getting good mileage!" Until I realized it was getting TOO good of mileage as the gauge was not moving from full.
What do you think could have happened? Did the float break? Is there a faulty wire? Did the fuel sending unit fail? I'm wondering and pondering. It's just interesting that it occurred on the first complete fill up after I know it was working properly before. How much could this end up costing?
Thanks to you all,
Jasper
