Bought a used 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, guy said it had a possible head gasket leak, very slow oil leak made him think so

So, we bought a head gasket leak sealant. But we cant do mechanic work on our jeep where we live. And my husband says we have to drain all the coolant out first. What can we do to "fix" it without having to do obvious mechanic work on it?

You can't. Using a head gasket "sealer" is sketchy enough to begin with. May not work and may even plug up your cooling system even when used as directed. Deviating from the instructions significantly decreases your chances and those kind of products are a temporary band-aid at best. To have any kind of chance for it to work with a minimum of problems you need to follow the product's directions to the letter.

Before using that stuff it would be best to find the actual source of the leak instead of going by what some "guy said" as a guess. Oil leaks have many other sources. It could even be something as simple as a valve cover leak. There are also tests available to determine if the head gasket is blown.
