i have an 09 camry with a third brake light that is stuck on and two of the rear lights don’t work. this only happens when the headlights are on. i have already put an oem brake light switch in and this didn’t help. two of the rear lights in the trunk lid work but the two beside the blinker bulbs do not. i tested for power and ground at both sockets and both are present.
any ideas?
Well it only happens on the headlights on so you have some type of problem in the wiring where power is crossing over. So when you turn the headlights on it turns that third brake light on. Also realize it could be a computer module because ultimately those lights are all run by. Guess what a computer module. But I'd start by looking at the trunk of for a ground and wiring that feeds both the brake lights and the parking lights
