Brake Press Light

Hello Scotty,

I have 1991 Fleetwood Southwind RV. (P30 Chassis with a 454).  My [Brake press] light is always on.  I am assuming that this is due to low pressure in the braking system.  Since I also have a [Brake] indicator as well, I am not sure if this issue is due to the braking system going to the four (4) wheels or if it is referring to the E-Brake mounted to the drive line which is also controlled by a Hydraulic ram when the transmission is put into park.

I thank you in advance for your insight

JGSr.

Well you'd have to trace all the wiring see if the light is on because the e-brake has a problem or whether you actually have low pressure. But is the rule of thumb if the brakes don't sink and they work fine it's not a pressure problem

Thank you.  the brakes are low so I think I will start there.

I have another question.  Is it worth replacing the transmission on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Laredo).  Would this be a good investment or should I wash my hands of if?

Hi jgardom1, Scotty does not reply back within a thread. It’s best to ask this question in a separate thread to get more visibility and answers. Thank you.
