I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab, automatic with about 170000 miles. I’ve been having a sinking brake pedal for a while. I was driving home and when I went to completely stop I pressed on the pedal a little more to try to stop and I heard like something pop or break. And then I heard a grinding noise. What do you think broke? Thank you for your time.

What you're popping a grinding noise. It usually means you wore down to the bare metal and then your caliper popped out of its
