2017 Camry SE - Brakes pads needed or not?

Hi Folks and Scotty,

I have 2017 Camry SE with 45K miles. Recently, I have experienced that I have to do long press on brakes to get my car to halt. There are no squeaking noises yet. But I was just wondering if it is the time to get a new brake pads as it has never been done. If yes, can I get the link to recommended Akebono brake pads.

The link to Akebono brake pads in the description of Scotty's videos do not fit my Camry. Please help me out with your suggestions.

Thank you.

DJ

Have you ever heard about this thing called Google?  Available LOTS of places:

Thanks for the link. Would you suggest me to get brake pads changed?

If they are worn out, sure. But it would be a good idea to see if there is a problem with your brake booster or master cylinder, too, as that could also be a reason for poor brake performance. Any reputable shop will check all of these when they replace the pads. I'm pretty sure Akebonos are what Toyota fits at the factory.

Thanks for the great suggestion. Last time when I got my car for state inspection, they suggested to get this done - (BG brake system flush, flush entire brake system with new fluid, bleed air, retest system) quoting $150.
I didn't assuming it was not required for such a low mileage. What's your view?
Thank you so much

Just replace the pads and bleed the system.  Forget the flush part.  It's about a 30 minute job.

Will do! Thanks.
