So I recently found a Honda Fit 2010 with 65k miles on it. It looks to run great and it's in great shape. Only problem is that it has an R title. The owner who is a mechanic with a shop with good reviews said he bought it an an auction and only had to fix the two bumpers and replace the hood. Hes asking 6500. Ive heard these cars run 200-300k miles and he seems trustworthy from the reviews on his business and I know the retail value drops significantly because of its R title. I tried to offer 5200 but he says 6000 is what he would take at minimum. Is this a good deal?
Stay away from that vehicle. Anything that this rebuilt is playing a game of risk.
Bad deal, look for something with a clear title.
Maybe at 1/3 the price or less. A vehicle with a rebuilt/salvage title has very little resale value.
Listen to the others.
Also, always take online reviews with a grain of salt. Unless you personally know the people writing the reviews, you never know if they’re genuine or not.
I never buy or recommend buying anything with a rebuilt title.
