Hi Mr Scotty, recently my dad bought a 2020 Hilux diesel, I've tried change the oil by my self and all of by sudden when I floor there's quite a lot of white smoke ( not as thick as blown head gasket or worn piston rings) but eventually it goes away after long drive, so what could possibly go wrong here?
PS: the engine mileage still quite low about 37000 km (approx. 22990 miles)
Thank you
When did you change the oil? In these cold days that is normal when enigine is warming up. If that occurs in warm temperatures, I would be worried.
I've change it on night time about 9/10 pm.. then 3 days later this things happened... just when I floor it not on idle.
Did it happen after you change the oil yourself?
Yes, yes just my self... previously he change on the dealership and no problem at all
Did the white smoke come from the exhaust or engine bay?
On tail pipe( exhaust) not on engine bay
As G.T said, check it to see if the engine is warm, doesn’t it make white smoke. It is unlikely that you have s blown headgasket but To have a peace of mind, you can but the headgasket leak kit fr Amazon (or other places).
