Good day, Mr. Scotty. I am writing to you today following a recommendation from my nephew, seeking your expert guidance. I am in the market for a dependable pickup truck suitable for daily use, specifically for agricultural purposes and the transportation of heavy loads. My previous vehicle was a Toyota Tundra with v8, but its high mileage has resulted in mechanical issues. While I am considering the new 2025 models, I am somewhat apprehensive about the performance of the V6 hybrid or V6 turbo configurations in relation to load capacity.
My requirements
4*4
Crew cab
Long bed
I have been researching the Chevrolet 2500 and Ram diesel 2500 i6 models, but I am aware of concerns regarding the plastic control arms. While Ford options are available, they may exceed budget constraints. My primary requirements are a vehicle that offers comfortable long-distance driving capabilities and the capacity to transport heavy load less maintenance and is reliable. Can last me 100k with out major issue and regular maintenance
God Bless
Heck, I try to find a good used V8 tundra myself. Because the American stuff is all selling with garbage except for the Ford V8 engines, which as you found out cost a ton
@scottykilmer what is the minimum mileage would u recommend on a v8 tundra. The reason I need v8 is I am moving heavy loads and some times equipment. I gotta deal on on f350 long bed 4×4 idk if its desiel or not. Seller asking for 60k should I go for it ?
