I recently bought a 2021 toyota corolla with a manual transmission, it's my first car that I've bought from the dealer, I got it with 0 miles. I was wondering if its ok to go 3,000 miles with the oil that came in the motor, or is it just meant to be used for a break in period like in the new c8 corvette?
Congrats on the new ride.....we love our '21 6spd Corolla SE.... We're going to change at 5k mile intervals, might be able to go longer, but why chance it.
C8 Corvette & Corolla two totally different animals and can't compare them like for like.
First of all, congratulations!

Lucky you manual corolla! I wanted one before I got my Camry. How much did you get it for? To answer, you car ain't performance. So no need. Do it at 5k and you will be perfectly fine.
Thanks man, I got it for 20k it's a hatchback SE model
Congratulations for the new ride. Those cars can run forever and with manual you have fun. No need to change the oil before 5k miles.
Congratulations!
just replace the engine oil with decent oil every 5k-7k miles
keep all the fluids (break fluid, manual fluid, coolant...) clean and you probably won't ever have any issues with it.
these are great cars! with proper maintenance it can last you forever.
