Love your videos. Performed a lot of DIY on my ‘99 Buick Regal supercharged/94k miles AND RUNS GREAT. But what should I buy when the time comes Electric or gas vehicle, I fear gas will be a rare commodity or expensive? BTW I live in IL w/annual car renewals $$$, and emissions testing. UGH. AND I believe IL has an electric vehicle fee of $1,000 each year.
Gasoline isn't going anywhere any time soon, it will take decades to phase out if it's possible at all. (We'll see what happens when people other than fanboys and greenies wind up with electrics and discover all the drawbacks for themselves.) Certainly if you're thinking of a new vehicle anytime within the next 10 years I wouldn't worry about it. I personally have no plans to ever buy an electric car.
Cross that bridge when you finally get to it.
