hi. i have a 2006 lexus es330 76k miles. one of my rear exterior lights went out, so i ended up swapping all the bulbs on my car with led lights, had incadescent bulbs before. after i replaced all the lights, the watching light on the dash turned on that showed one of the lights wasn't working. i double checked all the lights turned on (the brakes, turning, reverse, etc.), and all were working fine. why is the warning light in the dash turning on despite all the lights function correctly?

because your Lexus was built to expect incandescent bulbs. Normal LED bulbs consume less power, so the computer things they're missing. You need to install LED bulbs that were specifically designed for your vehicle.
