Hi Scotty my 2003 crown Vic with 145k miles is blowing white smoke out the back. It’s the first time I put full synthetic high mileage 5w20 oil in it. The oil level is good. There aren’t any cats or mufflers just pipes. Why is it burning oil? Thanks

Take a look at this.

It's either valve stem seals or piston rings.  Get a compression test and a leak down test.

Could it be from going from conventional to full synthetic?

Doubtful unless maybe it's being caused by bad valve stem seals that were able to keep conventional oil out but not the better-flowing synthetic.

White smoke?  Check for a failing head gasket too.

What if it’s blue smoke

Blue smoke is oil burning.
